Octet in Eb op.20  Mendelssohn
Plus music by  Gershwin, Schoenberg & Miles Davis
The Zeitgeist Chamber Orchestra are a group of young musicians who move seamlessly between styles, genres and musical eras. Conducted by their founder Sam Poppleton, they share an appetite for juxtaposing familiar and adventurous repertoire for between 10-20 instrumentalists. Recent performances have included Mozart’s Gran Partita at Clifton International Festival of Music, Bach's St John Passion at Ely Cathedral in aid of the Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal and Arnold Schoenberg's rarely heard masterpiece Chamber Symphony no.1 at various venues across London and the south of England. This special performance at the museum promises to be an exceptional evening of music-making, with the opportunity to see the Brian Graham exhibition and enjoy a glass of wine beforehand.
